New Baby

The birth of a child can be one of the most exciting events in the life of a family. Traditionally, Judaism has included a bris (circumcision) ceremony for baby boys. At OurJewishCommunity.org our philosophy is egalitarian, and so we encourage families to consider having a baby naming ceremony for both new male and female infants. In the coming weeks we’ll post more about our philosophy, and you will also find readings and resources that you can use in a naming ceremony.
